During the summer we were thrilled to take part in the Verizon Media Tech Venture Studio. This highly selective program was set to connect Verizon’s leading digital brands at Oath (including Yahoo, AOL Tumblr and TechCrunch), as well as the teams at Verizon Digital Media Services (VDMS), with innovative startups at the forefront of technology who have strategic importance to the group’s business.
Streamroot was hand-selected from over 1,200 startups to participate in the program. We had the opportunity to work alongside the Verizon teams on various new projects over the past several months, and to benefit from a network of investors, mentors, and Fortune 100 global brand leaders.
Last week the three-month program reached its peak at a dedicated Demo Day held at the R/GA offices in New York, in the presence of top investors, tech journalists and industry leaders. We were excited to share our story and vision, and to demonstrate how our peer-to-peer game-changing technology can make a huge difference in the video delivery landscape.
