On Monday, Streamroot took home the grand prize for Digital Innovation in the 7th annual French-American Entrepreneurship Awards. The award, which recognizes young Francophone entrepreneurs doing business in the US, was presented Monday night at the Sofitel in New York.
Streamroot’s peer-to-peer streaming technology and overall business plan were recognized as the most promising from among all entries by a jury of seasoned entrepreneurs including Frédéric Montagnon (Founder & CEO of Secret Media), Ilan Abehassera (Founder and CEO, Insensi), and Fabrice Sergent (Co-Founder & CEO of Bandsintown Group).
We are thrilled to be recognized by the business community in New York and look forward to opening our offices in the Big Apple, just next door to some of the US’s biggest media companies. In addition to mentorship and office space in New York, the $10,000 prize will go towards R&D and accelerating our growth in America.
CEO Pierre-Louis Théron talks about the prize and Streamroot’s technology in an interview on BFM Business:
The FAEA award comes on the heels of several other prizes including Europe’s Hello Tomorrow Challenge. Thanks to all for your support!
