Feature release Streamroot

First Feature Release for 2018 –  we’re scaling up!

With the most extensive range of device and player compatibilities on the market, Streamroot provides the largest peer-to-peer delivery network available today. Our Distributed Network Architecture allows broadcasters and OVPs to exponentially increase their video delivery capacity and scale profitably while improving QoS. As we grow and expand our customer base internationally, we work tirelessly to accommodate demand and to even further broaden Streamroot’s compatibilities, committed to becoming compatible with 100% of global video traffic. 2018 is off to a great start, with exciting new product compatibilities and enhancements, and we have many more down the pipeline. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to recently.

Multi-User Dashboard

You can now share access to the Streamroot dashboard with your teams easily by creating multiple users per account. Team members can benefit from their own credentials allowing them individual access to real-time insights and advanced traffic analytics, as well as control over deployment, at anytime and from anywhere.

Reseller Dashboard

We are happy to announce the release of our brand new Reseller Dashboard. Resellers can now autonomously create new Streamroot accounts and users for their customers, and have direct access to comprehensive analytics of their customers’ traffic. Streamroot Resellers can monitor and analyze their customers’ activity based on both real-time and historical data, generate reports and assist in deployment. Multi-Region Redundancy

As part of our global expansion, we used the holiday break to reinforce our backend services with multi-region redundancy. This step provides additional fail-safe layer to our services, ensuring that your traffic is always smoothly delivered with Streamroot.

Streamroot is now fully compatible with Safari

Following Apple’s support for WebRTC, we’re happy to announce that Streamroot is fully compatible with Safari. The recent addition of Safari to the long list of browsers supported by Streamroot makes Streamroot DNATM fully compatible with ~90% of desktop and mobile browsers worldwide. Read more details on Safari here.

Another day, another player – Nexplayer is supported by Streamroot

We are happy to share that Streamroot DNATM is now compatible with NexStreaming’s NexPlayer, the most popular SDK for premium Android video apps worldwide. NexPlayer Android and set-top box SDKs enable HLS and MPEG-DASH streaming across all smartphones, tablets and boxes including Android TV and Amazon Fire TV. More details here.

Easier roll-out on Mobile

To make roll-out on both Android and iOS as smooth as possible, we’ve made our SDKs embeddable through the most popular dependency managers out there, including CocoaPods, Carthage, Gradle and Maven. Once the Streamroot SDK is integrated into your workflow, you benefit from the latest set of features, performance and security upgrades, without the hassle of manually updating. To learn more, head to our Android and iOS documentation.

As usual, we’d love to hear from you; drop us a line and let us know what you think of these improvements. We’re always happy to receive your feedback, and take it into consideration for our future releases.
